
Dr. Omid Afghan
Founder
Omid Afghan was born in Kabul, a city celebrated for its rich history and diverse cultural heritage, in 1982. He completed his primary and secondary education in Kabul, where his passion for learning and intellectual curiosity first blossomed. Driven by a deep interest in understanding societal structures, cultures, and human interactions, Omid commenced his higher education at Kabul University in 2002, earning his Bachelor of Arts degree in 2005.
Following his graduation, Dr. Afghan embarked on an impressive professional journey, contributing significantly as a trainer and researcher at numerous prominent organizations, including the Foundation for Culture and Civil Society, National Center for Policy Research, Open Society Foundation, National Democratic Institute, Ministry of Women’s Affairs, Ministry of Culture and Communication, and the Ministry of Counter Narcotics.
Since 2006, Dr. Afghan has dedicated himself to academia, serving as a distinguished faculty member at Kabul Education University’s Sociology Department. His unwavering commitment to academic excellence led him to pursue advanced degrees internationally, earning his Master’s and Ph.D. in Sociology from Christ and Kalinga Universities in India (2010-2017). In addition, he has enriched academic discourse through his teaching engagements at renowned private universities such as Mashal, Rana, Dunya, Hewad, Gharjestan, Aalama, UMEF, and Kateb.
