Conference Proceedings

Policy Briefs

Translations

ASA is committed to making key sociological works accessible to Persian/Dari-speaking audiences. This section includes high-quality translations of foundational texts, articles, or book chapters, often with critical introductions or commentary.
 
– Proper acknowledgment of original authors and publishers.
 
– Original and translated versions available when permitted.

Voices from the Field

This unique section captures lived experiences, field notes, and localized narratives that enrich sociological understanding from below. It includes contributions from researchers, community activists, and grassroots observers.
 
– Reflective and narrative style encouraged.
 
– Can include photos, maps, or contextual data.

Submission Guidelines

We welcome submissions from sociologists, researchers, students, and writers with an interest in Afghan society and culture.

General Requirements:

  • Languages: Dari, Persian, English (bilingual encouraged)
  • Format: MS Word or LaTeX preferred
  • Referencing style: APA (7th edition) or Chicago Manual (depending on category)
  • Originality: All works must be original and unpublished elsewhere

Indexing & Citation

ASA aims to ensure long-term academic access and proper citation of its publications.

All journal articles and selected papers will receive unique identifiers (DOIs in the future).

Recommended citation formats are provided for each document.

Inclusion in databases like Google Scholar, Academia.edu, and institutional repositories is under development.

Users can browse and search publications using filters such as:

A fully indexed archive of all publications will be maintained for ease of access and citation.
